AtoZ Challenge - A is Acceptance

This month I've decided to jump in the A to Z Challenge boat! I've seen the idea of the A to Z Challenge floating around for a while now but  have never committed. When my bestie Sarah Ashley Jones jumped on board, I figured - why not?

So for the month of April (excluding Sundays) I will be posting one post a day (A to Z themed)
focused on something inspirational.
These will be short and sweet little posts to help brighten your day, I hope!

Hope you will keep checking back in to see what I come up with...

Today is A - Acceptance

I'm in my thirties (GAH!) and it has taken me a long time to truly understand how to accept things. How things are, how they've happened, why they've happened, who I am, who I want to be...accepting the reality of events and your life is a darn hard thing to do!

<----that one is especially hard to do. I think it takes an extremely strong person to step up from the mistakes/regrets of their past, accept it and keep on going.
Learn to accept yourself and others, as we are, will make us happier people too. Don't allow others to dictate who you should be or what you should look like.
And then remember sometimes there are things we will never understand in this world. Why bad things happen, why evil exists, why your favorite team didn't win the big game (I kid, kinda), but knowing that somethings just happen and we need to accept it can sometimes be the best medicine. That goes back to #1 there...once done there is nothing more to do but accept that it's happened and move forward.
